(EN) The Ego
“The Ego” is about boundaries. About theirs. About yours. About those of theater. By showing its most shameless, dramatic and vulnerable side. “The Ego” investigates communicating about transgressive behavior. Because addressing transgressive behavior is about being believed. “You know, to believe yourself, you have to be believed.” “The Ego” rocks in and out of credibility. To make you doubt. What is real? What do you believe? It's up to you to decide. “The Ego” is a performance about watching and being watched, in which Anemone and Verona investigate the extent to which internalized misogyny, transgressive behavior and #metoo are part of their professional and personal lives; and - without victim blaming - to what extent they are responsible for this. The audience gives points after each scene shown, even though the actresses in question are averse to interactive theater. A game of limitlessness, shamelessness and intimacy. (NL) Het Ego
